Purchase natural stone - How to place an order ?
Whatever your type of project, the possibilities are numerous due to the choice of stones, finishes, formats or dimensions. Each of these elements can vary the visual rendering of your project. Thus, there are often several questions to ask yourself before placing an order, whether technical or aesthetic ones.
In addition, natural stone is a different material from ceramic materials stoneware for example : shades of color, the presence of sediments or small shells are an integral part of the stone. It is therefore important to understand these particularities before your order.
To accompany you, our teams are at your disposal at our various showrooms (Burgundy, Ile de France and South France) by appointment but also by email, phone, video conferencing (Zoom, Skype ...).
You can also order samples on our online store or by asking us directly for specific stone or finish. It is the perfect solution in case of lack of time to come and see the stones in our showrooms. Or if you are too far from our stores.
On the other hand, you must keep in mind that a sample remains a manual production carried out by our stonemasons. Thus, the processing time can be from 1 to 3 weeks depending on our workload in production. If you are in a hurry by the deadlines, do not hesitate to contact us to advise you as best we can.
Once your choice has been finetuned (model, limestone, finish...), we will send you a quote matching your project.
During an appointment, we will not necessarily make the quote directly with you (except in the case of simple projects : flooring, paving stones, sinks ...) ; we will formalize it in the coming days (from 3 to 10 days depending on the time of year and the workload of our teams). Indeed, a quote requires an average of 45 minutes but can take up to 3 hours depending on the complexity.
When sending a quote, we always call you to notify you ; indeed our quotes can be in spam or in junk email. We are committed to ensuring its good reception!
We will integrate in the quote the costing of the delivery if you wish. We have chosen to charge for delivery at cost price. We negotiate annual volumes with our carrier partners and re-invoice identically. Our goal is to be able to bring you the best shipping solution in France and anywhere in the world. The other option is to collect your order directly from our workshop in Comblanchien (21) in Burgundy, either by you or by sending your own carrier. No orders can be picked up at our showrooms in Carrières-sur-Seine (78) and La Crau (83). More details on our page dedicated to customer pickup.
The quote has several pieces of information : the details of your selected natural stone products (type of stone, finish, dimensions, model ...) and the needed accessories (water repellent, glue, groutings...), the timelapse in number of weeks (example: 6-7 weeks or 10-12 weeks), terms of payment, our general sales conditions...
We have limited stocks and produce to order. These stocks are accessible on our website : flooring and paving stones, washbasins and shower trays, sinks, building stone... This makes it possible to offer you tailor-made products without being limited by a standard range. Indeed, we are manufacturers and sell directly via our website and showrooms. We are not dealers of natural stone products but producers. The objective is therefore to register your order in our production book. The orders are integrated one after the other into our workshop schedule - first in first out.
The 2 elements that allow us to take into account your order are :
1-Signature of the quote and the general conditions of sale. There are 3 mentions to be made by you (2 signatures - quote + general conditions of sale as well as an initial on the first page of the general conditions of sale). You can send it to us by scan or by mail. We prefer the dematerialized version for reasons of efficiency and ecological footprint.
2-Payment of the deposit of 50% by credit card, transfer or check. The credit card (visa, mastercard - american express not accepted) is the most immediate way to proceed but the weekly limits can possibly block your payment. Immediate transfers are becoming more and more frequent in banks (some of them apply an additional cost). The check will require the postal deadline of the moment.
After getting these elements, we will send you an order confirmation to check - with the expected week of availability and possibly the week of delivery (the following week). The invoice for the deposit will be attached to this email.
As part of a tailor-made production, a plan will be sent to you in the following days or weeks for approval.
Finally, as soon as the order is ready we will notify you to check with you the delivery address and ask you for the payment of the remaining 50% before shipment. If you pick up the order in Comblanchien (21), the balance invoice will be paid on site.
Note : once the order has been placed, your contact person at Le Comptoir des Pierres changes ; it is no longer a question of sales representatives but of the sales administration which plans the production, realizes the production sheets, is in touch with the quarries and the workshop ...
