Paving in Burgundy limestone
Massangis
Discover our Massangis Burgundy limestone, a mixture of yellow, light yellow and light shades. Massangis is a natural limestone in variation and shade.
This stone has been used in buildings since the 12th century and is extracted in the Tonnerre basin in Burgundy. Parisians and tourists admire it every day on the pillars of the Eiffel Tower. The quarry of Massangis is also one of the most beautiful quarries in France with a size of 22 meters high (see photos).
The Massangis Beige Clair limestone comes in a more modern finish (honed or brushed) and a more rustic finish (Monastery, Vieux Beaune or Aged). Massangis lime stone is part of the family of Burgundy hard stones with Comblanchien and Corton. Its average density is 2400 kg/m3.
On request we can also, select in career a particular color : yellow or light yellow to bring more colors or in nuanced light for a more contemporary look. However the most competitive price will remain for the Massangis Beige Clair limestone (without sorting the shades).
