Cinerary monument in natural stone. Cinerary grave. Tombstone for casket or urn in natural Burgundy stone.

The cinerary monument is designed to hold the ashes of the deceased in the case of cremation. Several types of monuments exist : collective monuments like columbariums or family and individual monuments such as cinerary graves or cinerary tombstones placed in the ground.

The cinerary grave in the ground consists only of the urn and a tombstone where we can engrave the name, first names, dates, etc.

As a manufacturer in Burgundy stone, please provide us with the desired dimensions and the type of stone chosen: Comblanchien, Lanvignes, or Semond.

Double funeral monument in stone. Double tombstone. Double vault and concession.

The double monument is a beautiful and powerful symbol of love, uniting two people side by side for eternity. It also conveys a strong message to future generations. This type of monument is not the most common in a cemetery, as it requires a double concession and a double vault with specific administrative procedures (which differ if it involves spouses or siblings, for example).

As for the double tombstone itself, it can consist of two adjacent tombstones (or with a slight separation) or a single large slab. Our monuments are fully customizable with different stones, specific engraving colors, or custom headstones. As a manufacturer, we can carry out all your double funeral monument projects in natural Burgundy stone.

Feel free to send us a sketch or call us to discuss your project.

Funeral base in stone. Surround of tombstone in natural Burgundy stone. Base of funeral monument.

The base corresponds to the surround of the tombstone or funeral monument. The objectives are multiple: to mark the limits of the plot, to ensure the stability and durability of the structure. The burial is most often placed on the base.

This base can be made of either concrete or natural stone. In certain cemeteries, particularly in Paris (such as Père-Lachaise), a stone base is mandatory. The dimensions are often determined by the cemetery, as they must consider the size of the land.

The bases can be flat or with water return. They are composed of four pieces (2 widths + 2 lengths). Bases with water return generally have a thickness of 5/7 cm or 6/8 cm. Flat bases have a minimum thickness of 5 cm. The total width of the base is 30 cm. The bedding is the part of the base on which the tombstone will rest, usually measuring 10 cm. The visible part of the base is called the isolation and therefore measures 20 cm.

We also manufacture the foundations and plinths in the same stone (and of course the steles and tombstones).

Funeral foundation in natural stone

The foundations serve as the support for the tombstone, with a height generally between 10 and 15 cm. They can be made as a monolith or in several pieces. Funeral stonemasons also refer to side strips for longer lengths and closures for the front and back sections.

These foundations also play a role as a surround, especially when the family does not wish to have a tombstone, for example, with only plants in the center of the grave or gravel. This is particularly the case in the Muslim religion, where the body must be covered solely with earth.

The foundation can incorporate a prayer desk (5-piece prayer desk) so that loved ones can gather, or a single-block planter (4-piece solid planter).

These foundations are not mandatory ; in this case, the choice will lean toward a thicker flat tombstone (minimum 10 cm).

Funeral heart in stone. Engravable heart-shaped gravestone plaque. Customizable heart.

This funeral ornament can be attached to a headstone or placed/glued onto the tombstone. This heart can be curved and/or tilted, especially to be better showcased horizontally on the monument.

Custom-made options available. Feel free to send us a sketch of what you have in mind.

Engraving not included. Additional cost: €12 including tax per letter.

Funeral planter in natural stone. Planter for cemetery. Funeral ornamentation and monument in Burgundy limestone.

As a manufacturer in natural Burgundy stone, we create funeral monuments as well as ornamentation, such as engraved plaques or planters.

For the planters, we offer two standard models: a rectangular model and a rounded model.

Our planters are made of solid stone, ensuring a significantly longer lifespan. They are not simply glued together; we start from a solid block of stone that our digital tools hollow out. Our stonemasons complete the finishing by hand.

Planters are often integrated into the design of the funeral monument, directly within the base. In this case, they serve as a closure for the monument.

Natural stones from Burgundy in the world of funeral monuments

Alternative to granite or marble, we make all our funeral monuments and funerary accessories with 4 natural stones of Burgundy : Comblanchien Clair, Comblanchien Légèrement Moucheté or in Lanvignes Golden Yellow and Semond Blended (stones of the area of Châtillon sur Seine). Because of their aesthetic quality and durability, these 4 stones that are Geographical Indication – Natural Stones from Burgundy are particularly suitable for funeral and cinerary use. Check out this article on which stone to choose for funerary monuments to learn more.
