Fixing and Maintenance

White adhesive : White adhesive is recommended (instead of grey adhesive) for natural stone to prevent potential efflorescence.

Protection : We strongly recommend protecting the stone after installation to facilitate maintenance and prevent possible stains.

Grout : Grouts can be made traditionally or purchased as ready-to-use versions. The color of the joint is primarily a matter of taste. On this page, you will find beige, jasmine, and medium grey jointing mortars recommended according to the type of stone.

We also offer Otto Seal silicone joints for kitchen countertops, shower trays, and sinks.

Maintenance : Our stones are limestone, so all descaling agents (petrochemical products, white vinegar, etc.) should be avoided. Instead, use pH-neutral products.

Mat and bond coating : When installing on an existing surface (tiles, parquet, etc.), use a bonding primer (or adhesion primer) and a decoupling membrane. A waterproofing membrane should be applied under shower trays and wall coverings in bathrooms.
