Funeral planter in natural stone. Planter for cemetery. Funeral ornamentation and monument in Burgundy limestone.
As a manufacturer in natural Burgundy stone, we create funeral monuments as well as ornamentation, such as engraved plaques or planters.
For the planters, we offer two standard models: a rectangular model and a rounded model.
Our planters are made of solid stone, ensuring a significantly longer lifespan. They are not simply glued together; we start from a solid block of stone that our digital tools hollow out. Our stonemasons complete the finishing by hand.
Planters are often integrated into the design of the funeral monument, directly within the base. In this case, they serve as a closure for the monument.
Cross in natural stone. Burial cross. Cross for tombstone.
We carry out all your stone cross projects to decorate a funerary monument (or cinerary monument), to lay on a headstone, a vault or a chapel. As stone cutters, we can also study tour projects for stone ordeal especially for town halls, cemeteries, public spaces.
As an alternative to granite or marble, different stones and finishes are worked especially the natural limestones from Burgundy : Lanvignes Golden Yellow or Comblanchien.

The columbarium is a collective cinerary monument that can be made entirely of natural stone or only the doors of the niche especially in Comblanchien limestone.
We cater to individuals for cinerary or funeray monuments and more specifically to local communities and cemeteries for columbariums.
In the pattern of the complete realization of the columbarium, please let us know as many indications as possible with the number of niche, the desired height…
Our stonemasons are also able to create monuments for the memorial garden, memorials to the dead, war monuments..
Natural Stone Vase. Medici Vase. Decoration or Funeral (Cemetery, Tombstone). Medici Pot
The vase is molded and inspired by the Medici style. It can be used as a landscaping ornament, also as a cap for a pillar, or as decoration on wall copings. Our vases can also adorn a tombstone in the funeral context.
We are manufacturers of natural Burgundy limestone. We have standardized two sizes of vases: one is 30 cm tall and the second is 50 cm in height.
Tombstone. Gravestone in natural stone. Funeral Monument.
The tombstone is the horizontal element placed directly on the monument or supported by a base or foundation. It can be engraved.
As an alternative to granite or marble, we craft our tombstones from five natural Burgundy stones: Comblanchien Clair, Comblanchien Lightly Speckled, or Lanvignes, Semond, and Ampilly (stones from the Châtillonnais region). Engraving is available in different colors: wine-red, black, gold leaf, blue, green…
Our tombstones are most often flat (or rectangular) but can also be sloped (from head to foot), rounded (or domed), with two slopes (a central ridge along the length), with facets (cut into three sections along the length), or featuring a cross in bas-relief. Our tombstones have a refined design to highlight the natural beauty of the stone. Provide us with the dimensions, and we will create a custom piece.

Funeral base in stone. Surround of tombstone in natural Burgundy stone. Base of funeral monument.
The base corresponds to the surround of the tombstone or funeral monument. The objectives are multiple: to mark the limits of the plot, to ensure the stability and durability of the structure. The burial is most often placed on the base.
This base can be made of either concrete or natural stone. In certain cemeteries, particularly in Paris (such as Père-Lachaise), a stone base is mandatory. The dimensions are often determined by the cemetery, as they must consider the size of the land.
The bases can be flat or with water return. They are composed of four pieces (2 widths + 2 lengths). Bases with water return generally have a thickness of 5/7 cm or 6/8 cm. Flat bases have a minimum thickness of 5 cm. The total width of the base is 30 cm. The bedding is the part of the base on which the tombstone will rest, usually measuring 10 cm. The visible part of the base is called the isolation and therefore measures 20 cm.
We also manufacture the foundations and plinths in the same stone (and of course the steles and tombstones).
Funeral foundation in natural stone
The foundations serve as the support for the tombstone, with a height generally between 10 and 15 cm. They can be made as a monolith or in several pieces. Funeral stonemasons also refer to side strips for longer lengths and closures for the front and back sections.
These foundations also play a role as a surround, especially when the family does not wish to have a tombstone, for example, with only plants in the center of the grave or gravel. This is particularly the case in the Muslim religion, where the body must be covered solely with earth.
The foundation can incorporate a prayer desk (5-piece prayer desk) so that loved ones can gather, or a single-block planter (4-piece solid planter).
These foundations are not mandatory ; in this case, the choice will lean toward a thicker flat tombstone (minimum 10 cm).
Natural stone funerary stele. Grave marker
A stele, also called a milestone or standing stone, is a vertical monument with or without engraving.
It serves various purposes: commemorative, funerary, or geographical. In funerary contexts, it is often combined with a tombstone but can also be used with only a surrounding structure. These steles are dimensioned for funerary or cinerary monuments. They are often engraved to allow identification of the deceased. The stele is fixed onto a base, a foundation, or a slab; metal dowels (screws) secure it to its support.
As stone cutters, we can create fully customized projects: rectangular steles, trapezoidal steles (wider at the top), sloped steles (or beveled steles), molded steles (ogee, curved, rounded, basket-handle, or gendarme cap). The stele can also take the shape of a cross for Christian monuments. Additionally, we can produce personalized steles in the shape of a heart, star, book, or a design representing a passion or personality trait. Send us your sketch for pricing. We offer four dimensions and two thicknesses, the most common in the funerary sector.
We also create Muslim steles and Muslim funerary monuments.
Stele for urn. Monument for urn. Ashes monument. Natural stones from Burgundy. Ashes grave.
We create funeral steles in natural stone in different shapes: rectangular stele, trapezoidal stele (wider at the top), sloped stele (or with a cut edge), molded stele (convex, rounded, basket-handle, gendarme hat…).
For ashes monuments, we reduce the dimensions of the stele to be proportionate to the grave plot and the ashes slab.
The steles are often engraved and allow for the identification of the deceased. The stele is fixed on a base, on the foundation, or on the ashes slab; metal dowels (screws) allow the stele to be secured to its support.
Several stones are offered: Comblanchien Light or Slightly Spotted, Lanvignes Aged Golden-Yellow or Semond Nuanced.

Muslim tombstone in natural stone. Muslim funeral monument. Muslim funeral stele.
Our Muslim monuments consist of a stele and a base without a horizontal stone, respecting Muslim traditions. The earth is generally covered with white gravel or pebbles (white marble). Our funeral steles can be rounded with a pointed tip, reminiscent of a mosque dome, or simpler in a rectangular shape with two sloping sides (photos 5 and 6). Upon request, we design and manufacture a smaller second stele at the foot of the grave.
Our stone cutters can engrave the Muslim crescent, the star, or a verse from the Quran. Thus, Muslim symbols will be present on the stele or even on the base.
Delivery throughout France and installation via our partners in the Muslim squares of cemeteries. Prices on this page for our Muslim steles ; discover on this page the price of a Muslim monument including the headstone and the base.
